HAWKS FALL TO CAVALIERS IN CLEVELAND

The Atlanta Hawks fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers 121-118 on Monday night in Cleveland.  It was the eighth consecutive loss for the Hawks, who now are the lone possessors of worst record in the NBA with a total of six wins and 25 losses on the 2019-2020 season.

Trae Young notched a game-high 30 points for the Hawks, but missed a three pointer that would have tied the game in its final seconds. He also contributed 10 assists.  John Collins scored 27 points and had 10 rebounds in his return to the court from a 25-game suspension for violating the NBA’s drug policy.

Collin Sexton was the Cavs’ top scorer with 25 points.  Darius Garland added 21 points.

The Hawks will be back at the State Farm Arena this Friday night to host the Milwaukee Bucks; tip off is set for 7:30 pm.
