STATE TROOPERS OUT IN FORCE TO KEEP TRAVELERS SAFE THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

A record number of travelers – 115.6 million – are expected over this holiday season, predicts AAA, The Auto Club Group.  The Georgia State Patrol and the Motor Carrier Compliance Division will be out in force in the next couple of weeks to keep holiday travelers safe across the Peach State.

The 54-hour Christmas travel period begins tonight at 6 pm and will continue through Thursday night at 11:59 pm, according to parameters set by the state Department of Public Safety.

State troopers encourage motorists to exercise safe driving habits in an effort to reduce the number of crashes on Georgia’s roadways.
