The Rome City Commission held its first meeting of 2020 on Monday night. Three new and three returning commissioners were sworn in, following their election to Wards One and Three in November. Bill Collins was tapped to be the Mayor this year, while Craig McDaniel was chosen as Mayor Pro Tem.
Floyd County Commissioners will meet for the first time in 2020 today. This meeting is slated for 6 pm at the county’s Administration Building on East 4th Avenue in downtown Rome. It will be preceded by a caucus session at 4 pm. Both are open to the public.
