Alabama defeated Vanderbilt 77-62 in men’s college basketball among rivals of the SEC at Nashville, TN on Wednesday evening. John Petty, Jr. notched a game-high 23 points for the Crimson Tide, who improved to 11-7 overall and 4-2 in conference play. Petty reached a milestone with the 1,000th point of his career. He also had 10 rebounds. Vandy has fallen to 8-10 and 0-5.
The Tide will host Kansas State in a non-conference match on Saturday. Tip off is set for 6 pm Eastern. That game will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time is 5 pm from Learfield IMG College.
Georgia Tech fell to No. 6 Louisville 68-64 in an ACC men’s basketball game at Louisville, KY on Wednesday night.
