BULLOCK, JONES ARE ’20 GOAL, RICK PERKINS AWARD WINNERS FOR GNTC

Christina Bullock, an Adult Echocardiography student, has been honored as Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s 2020 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) winner, according to a GNTC media release. English instructor Mandy Jones is the GNTC Rick Perkins Instructor of the Year.

The winners were announced during the Seven Hills Rotary Club’s meeting at the Coosa Country Club on Tuesday afternoon. These awards were sponsored by the Rome-Floyd Chamber, the Seven Hills Rotary Club and GNTC.

Bullock and Jones will now proceed to their respective regional competitions for a chance to compete at the state level. Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia will award a new automobile to the state GOAL winner. A $1,000 cash prize will be awarded to the state’s Rick Perkins Award winner. Statewide winners will serve as ambassadors for the Technical College System of Georgia.

Brandon Dyer was additionally recognized at Tuesday’s ceremony as GNTC’s 2020 EAGLE Leadership Institute representative.
