Alabama lost to No. 22 LSU 90-76 in men’s college basketball on Wednesday evening in Baton Rouge, LA. Emmitt Williams had a game-high 23 points for LSU in the SEC battle, while Jaden Shackleford scored a team-high 21 points for Alabama.

The Crimson Tide fell to 12-8 overall, 4-3 in conference play with their loss. They will return to their home court in Tuscaloosa, AL to host Arkansas in an SEC bout on Saturday at 6 pm Eastern. Listen to that match on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time will be 5 pm from Learfield IMG College.

In college basketball news involving local teams, Georgia Highlands College split a couple of GCAA matches versus Central Georgia Technical College at GHC’s Floyd County campus on Wednesday. The Lady Chargers emerged as the victors 64-52 in the opener, while the Chargers dropped the nightcap by a final score of 71-66. GHC’s teams will each get back into action on Saturday with a pair of outings against Andrew College.
