One Community United will host the 5th annual Hearts United Gathering (or HUG) on Thursday, February 6th at 6 pm in the Wilder Center of First United Methodist Church, 202 East Third Avenue in downtown Rome.
David Guldenschuh, a member of the Board of Directors for One Community United, attests that where HUG has been speaker-driven in the past, this 2020 event will feature the unveiling of findings from a year’s worth of meetings in which that organization has generated community feedback on improvements that should be made in Rome and Floyd County. The feedback will be used to create a plan of action to make it a better community.
Dr. Eric Holland, Principal of Rome High School, is among the local leaders that will be on hand to discuss issues like education and race relations.
