GIVE YOUR SWEETHEART THE GIFT OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS THIS VALENTINES DAY!

Valentines Day is right around the corner. If your sweetheart loves to spend time in the great outdoors, give them the gift of adventure – visit a state park! Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites will host a wealth of special events for Valentines weekend, asserts Kim Hatcher, Public Affairs Coordinator. Those include a Hike to the Heart up at Fort Mountain and a Molten Moonlight Iron Pour at Red Top Mountain. So gather up your sweetheart, your gal pals, your family, or even your dog and join the festivities!

You may also opt to take a romantic stroll with a view of the Atlanta skyline at Panola Mountain. Hikes will be offered for couples as well as families on Valentines weekend, says Hatcher.

A number of parks will offer special events and free admission this Sunday as part of Super Museum Sunday, a program of the Georgia History Festival that is sponsored by the Georgia Historical Society.
