US SENATE VOTES TO ACQUIT PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP ON IMPEACHMENT CHARGES

The United States Senate has voted to acquit President Donald Trump on two impeachment charges. The vote was cast along party lines, aside from one of the two charges for which Senator Mitt Romney of Utah voted ‘Guilty’.

Senator David Perdue from Georgia voted “Not Guilty” to both charges. He asserts in a press release, “It’s time to put this dark chapter behind us and get back to work to deliver even more results for the American people.”
