A handful of area high school basketball teams remain in the hunt for a state title in the GHSA playoffs.

Darlington advanced in the tourney with an opening round win at home over Our Lady of Mercy, 70-27, last Friday night. The Lady Tigers were knocked out in the semifinal round of the Region 6-A tournament by Mt. Paran’s Lady Eagles in the last meeting between those two teams.
