FCS SUBSTITUTE TEACHER WINS NATIONAL AWARD

Harriett Gable, a substitute teacher for the Floyd County Schools, has been chosen as one of six winners of the sixth annual “Impact Award” from ESS, reports a FCS media release.

The 2019 honorees were recognized at their school districts with a $500 cash prize, another $500 to donate to the school of their choice, and a crystal apple trophy.

Gable has worked 194 absences since she joined ESS back in July 2018. She works at many schools throughout FCS and has opted to give her $500 award donation to Model Middle School.

ESS provides staffing services for K-12 schools across the country.
