THE HAWKS BEAT THE HEAT AT STATE FARM ARENA

The Atlanta Hawks beat the Miami Heat 129-124 on Thursday evening at the State Farm Arena in both teams’ first game after the NBA All Star break.

All-Star starter Trae Young led the charge with a career-high 50 points for the Hawks. DeAndre Hunter and Kevin Huerter each had 17 points.

Bam Adebayo scored a team-high 28 points for the Heat, which was denied a sweep of the Hawks in the four game season series between the teams.

The Hawks improved to 16-41 with their win. They’ll remain at home to take on the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night at 7:30 pm.
