TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE IN MARCH 24TH PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY

Today is the last day to register to vote in the Presidential Preference Primary election on March 24th.

Voter registration is available at the Floyd County Elections Office, located at the county’s Administration Building in downtown Rome, and on the Georgia Secretary of State’s website (www.registertovote.sos.ga.gov), asserts Dr. Tom Rees, the Chairman of the Floyd County Board of Elections and Registration. Remember to take your ID if you register in person!

You can also register to vote at the Georgia Department of Driver Services, as well as various state agencies. Georgians may check voter registration status online at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov.

Dr. Rees encourages all locals to register and vote, as it is their right and their privilege.

A host of Democrats are running for their party’s nomination for President of the United States. Donald Trump is the lone candidate on Republican ballots in Georgia.

Early voting will begin on March 2nd for the Presidential Preference Primary. The three-week early voting period will include Saturday and Sunday voting on March 14th and 15th, says Dr. Rees.

For more information about the election, registration, or early voting, contact the Floyd County Elections Office at (706) 291-5167.
