Greater Rome is poised for a break in the rain as we head into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service. There is a 90 percent chance of showers, possibly a thunderstorm, for today; high temperatures will be in the mid 50s. That chance for showers diminishes to 30 percent early this evening with lows in the upper 30s. Sunshine is slated to return on Friday and remain through the first part of next week.
