The Georgia Senate voted Monday to pass House Resolution 164. The Trust Fund constitutional amendment paves the way for dedicated funds to be used on the initiatives for which they were intended. It is now poised to go before voters in November, asserts Jesse Demonbreun-Chapman, Executive Director of the Coosa River Basin Initiative. If passed, he says, it will mean that funds intended for environmental cleanups will actually be used for those purposes. He credits Senator Chuck Hufstetler for supporting this measure.
Demonbreun-Chapman encourages Georgians to vote in favor of the measure when they go to the polls this November.
