A production-related road closure will continue today along East 2nd Avenue from East 9th Street and East 12th Street. Traffic will be detoured around the area. According to a release from the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism, the closure will occur from 9 am to 3 pm and again from 6:30 pm to 9 pm.
Filming is reportedly underway for an upcoming season of the Netflix series “Stranger Things”.
Local businesses have appreciated support of film crews. Jennifer Trovillion, General Manager of the Zaxby’s on Turner McCall Boulevard, posted on her Facebook page, “When a TV show is filming directly behind your restaurant and you get the benefit of a HUGE catering order!! What a great way to kick off this week.”
