DPH: KNOW THE WARNING SIGNS OF COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)

Logan Boss, Public Information Officer for the Georgia Department of Public Health, Northwest Health District, encourages Northwest Georgians to know the warning signs of COVID-19, especially those who are most at-risk (such as the elderly and those with chronic medical conditions). Reach out to your health care provider immediately if you experience fever, cough or shortness of breath, urges Boss.

If you suspect that you have come down with the coronavirus, do not head to the hospital without calling in advance!! Boss indicates that your health care provider will advise you on what to do next.

Boss also says to keep a close eye on loved ones that may be most at risk for contracting the illness.

Information about COVID-19 (coronavirus) may be obtained on the Georgia Department of Public Health’s website at www.dph.georgia.gov or the CDC’s website at www.cdc.gov.
