STATUS REPORT WEBSITE NOW AVAILABLE FOR COVID-19 IN GEORGIA

Governor Brian Kemp and Kathleen E. Toomey, MD, MPH, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Public Health, on Thursday introduced a daily status report page for confirmed COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases in Georgia. This report updates every night at midnight. The goal is to provide accurate and regular information to the public. The new tool is available on the DPH website at www.dph.georgia.gov/novelcoronavirus, as well as on the CDC’s website (www.cdc.gov).

As of Thursday night’s report, there have been a total of 42 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across Georgia. The first death in this state from coronavirus was reported on Thursday of a 67-year-old man in Cobb County with some underlying health conditions.

There have been a wealth of closures and cancellations for the coming days in Northwest Georgia. Find an updated list at www.wlaq1410.com.
