FLOYD EMA DIRECTOR REMINDS THE PUBLIC TO CONTINUE TO FOLLOW CDC/PUBLIC HEALTH GUIDELINES PERTAINING TO THE CORONAVIRUS

The Floyd County Emergency Management Agency has been in close contact with public health officials concerning COVID-19.

Tim Herrington, Floyd EMA Director, urges the public to continue to follow CDC and Georgia Department of Public Health guidelines for combating the illness – wash your hands frequently, do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth with unclean hands, avoid close contact with those who may be sick, and stay at home if you are sick.

Herrington also reminds locals to use a tissue to cover your mouth whenever you cough or sneeze. And be sure to disinfect items that you use frequently, such as a cell phone, computer keyboards, and doorknobs.
