DEADLINE TO ORDER ONLINE IN CHIEFTAINS HERB AND PLANT SALE IS THIS FRIDAY

The deadline to order your herbs and plants in the Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home’s annual Herb and Plant Sale is this Friday, April 3rd. The sale is being held online this year because of coronavirus.

The patrons of this sale will support a National Historic Landmark. Heather Shores, Executive Director, indicates that proceeds will go to offset operating costs, as well as school programs, at the museum.

Herbs and plants may be purchased online at www.chieftainsmuseum.org; the payment may be made via PayPal. You can also order and pay by phone with a credit or debit card at (706) 291-9494. A third option allows patrons to send an email to [email protected] and mail all checks payable to Chieftains Museum, P.O. Box 373, Rome, Georgia 30162.

The pick-up for plants will be held at the Community Building of the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds from 3 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, April 9th and from 10 am to 2 pm on Friday, April 10th. Patrons are advised not to get out of their cars; instead, drive through the pick-up line! Plants will loaded into your car, and everyone will keep a safe distance. Shores says that Chieftains has received permission from the City of Rome to do this.
