FLOYD COUNTY RECEIVES ASSISTANCE IN THE BATTLE AGAINST COVID-19

Floyd County has received some assistance in its battle against COVID-19 from the Georgia Emergency Management/Homeland Security Agency and the Georgia National Guard. Tim Herrington, Director of the Floyd County Emergency Management Agency, states that the ultimate goal is to keep our community safe. He adds that the uptick in confirmed cases of coronavirus locally is due to an increase in testing at hospitals and testing sites.

Herrington reminds locals to continue to do their part in the battle against the coronavirus by social distancing, washing hands, and staying at home!
