STATEWIDE SHELTER IN PLACE ORDER TAKES EFFECT AT 6 PM THIS EVENING

A shelter in place order for the entire state of Georgia has now officially been issued by Governor Brian Kemp. It will be in effect from today at 6 pm until Monday, April 13th at 11:59 pm. All Georgians are required to stay at home, aside from engaging in essential activities (like getting food or medications), working in critical infrastructure, engaging in the minimum basic operations, or performing necessary travel for any of those three. Violators could face a misdemeanor. The statewide order supersedes all local orders.

Kemp’s executive order and answers to frequently asked questions are posted online at www.gov.georgia.gov.
