UPDATE 4/6/20 (7:00 P.M.): CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES RISE TO 7558 STATEWIDE, 294 DEATHS NOW REPORTED

The Georgia Department of Public Health has reported that there have been 7558 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state as of 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2020. Floyd County has 89 confirmed cases and 3 deaths at the time of this report.  Bartow County has 182 confirmed cases with 11 deaths reported.  Polk County has 20 confirmed cases and Chattooga County has 4 with 1 reported death.  There have been 294 deaths related to the coronavirus in Georgia.

The counties in Georgia with the highest confirmed cases are Fulton (1053), Dougherty (722), Dekalb (600), Cobb (517), and Gwinnett (455).

The DPH is now updating the COVID-19 daily status report twice daily at noon and at 7 pm. It is available online at www.dph.georgia.gov.
