ROME CITY COMMISSIONERS DISCUSS EMERGENCY SHELTER, COVID-19 TESTING AT VIRTUAL CALLED MEETING

The Rome City Commission held a called meeting via Zoom on Monday. The Commission approved a Memorandum of Understanding with United Way of Rome and Floyd County and local sheltering groups to set up an emergency shelter for the homeless of this community amid the statewide shelter in place now in effect. Concerns were also raised about the availability of COVID-19 testing. The meeting was broadcast live on Facebook; that video may still be viewed on the City of Rome, GA – Government page.
