UPDATE 4/7/20 (NOON): CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES RISE TO 8818 STATEWIDE, 329 DEATHS NOW REPORTED

Georgia Department of Public Health has reported that there have been 8818 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state as of 12-noon on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.  Floyd County has 89 confirmed cases and 3 deaths at the time of this report.  The number of confirmed cases in Polk County (20), Gordon County (25), Chattooga County (4), and Bartow (187).  There have been 329 deaths related to the coronavirus. The counties in Georgia with the highest confirmed cases are Fulton (1124), Dougherty (939), Dekalb (645), Cobb (550), Gwinnett (525), Clayton (266).

The DPH is now updating the COVID-19 daily status report twice daily at noon and at 7 pm. It is available online at www.dph.georgia.gov.
