GOVERNOR KEMP EXTENDS STATEWIDE SHELTER IN PLACE, AS WELL AS PUBLIC HEALTH STATE OF EMERGENCY

Governor Brian Kemp has extended the statewide shelter in place that is now in effect through April 30th. He announced the extension at a press conference that was held on Wednesday afternoon at the State Capitol in Atlanta. Earlier in the day, his office announced the extension of Georgia’s public health state of emergency through May 13th. Kemp was joined for the COVID-19 update by Georgia DPH Commissioner Dr. Kathleen Toomey, as well as the Georgia Emergency Management/Homeland Security Agency Director Homer Bryson and Georgia National Guard Adjutant General Tom Carden.
