Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation’s facilities may be closed to the public at this time, but parks and rec officials want to ensure that local families remain active in the days of coronavirus. As such, they have started to post videos to their website (www.rfpra.com) and social media outlets. These videos include everything from sports drills for kids to workout routines for adults.
Jim Alred, Recreation Services Manager, enthuses that these sports drills will give kids a chance to play the sports they love – while social distancing – and improve their skills before parks are re-opened.
Alred adds that he and his colleagues eagerly anticipate re-opening parks and rec facilities – when it is safe to do so.
In the meantime, you can watch the videos. The public is urged to share their photos of doing the drills or working out to the videos. The best submissions will be shared on Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation’s social media.
