UPDATE 4/17/20 (7:00 P.M.): CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES RISE TO 17,432 STATEWIDE, 668 DEATHS NOW REPORTED

The Georgia Department of Public Health has reported that there have been 17,432 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state as of 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2020. There have been 668 deaths related to the coronavirus in Georgia.  Floyd County has 121 confirmed cases and 8 deaths at the time of this report. Bartow County has 245 confirmed cases with 22 deaths reported.  Polk County has 29 confirmed cases and Chattooga County has 9 with 1 reported death.  Gordon County has 55 confirmed cases with 5 reported deaths.

The counties in Georgia with the highest confirmed cases are Fulton (2037), Dougherty (1385), Dekalb (1366), Cobb (1085), and Gwinnett (1037).
