UPDATE 4/17/20 (NOON): CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES RISE TO 17,194 STATEWIDE, 650 DEATHS NOW REPORTED

Georgia Department of Public Health has reported that there have been 17,194 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state as of 12-noon on Friday, April 17, 2020.  Floyd County remains at 121 confirmed cases and 6 deaths at the time of this report.  The number of confirmed cases in Polk County (29), Gordon County (53), Chattooga County (9), and Bartow (242).  Bartow County has 22 reported deaths related to Coronavirus.  There have been 650 deaths related to the coronavirus. The counties in Georgia with the highest confirmed cases are Fulton (2025), Dougherty (1381), Dekalb (1349), Cobb (1072), Gwinnett (1017), and Clayton (491).

The DPH has typically been updating the COVID-19 daily status report twice daily at noon and at 7 pm. However, they are not updating at different time increments.  More detailed updates are available online at www.dph.georgia.gov.
