NORTHWEST GEORGIANS WITH SYMPTOMS OF CORONAVIRUS MAY BE TESTED FOR FREE BY THE DPH

Any Northwest Georgian with symptoms of the coronavirus such as a fever, dry cough, or shortness of breath, may receive free testing provided by public health at one of four sites in Bartow, Floyd, Paulding and Walker Counties. The following individuals who do not exhibit symptoms may also be tested: healthcare workers, first responders, and other critical infrastructure workers that have been exposed to COVID-19, or residents at a long-term care facility or other group residential setting experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak. Those who wish to be tested must be screened in advance by calling (706) 802-5329 any time between 8:30 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday and from 8:30 am to noon on Saturday.
