NUMBER OF CORONAVIRUS CASES IN GEORGIA EXCEEDS 20,000

The number of coronavirus cases in Georgia has passed the 20,000 mark, per the state Department of Public Health. The death toll has topped 800.

According to the latest report by the DPH, there were 20,166 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state as of 6:30 pm on Tuesday evening. There were 818 fatalities due to coronavirus. In Floyd County, there were 127 confirmed cases and eight fatalities. Fulton County led the state in number of confirmed cases with 2,206. The highest number of fatalities was reported in Dougherty County, which has had 103.
