The Salvation Army Providing Increased Number of Meals Due to COVID-19 and Storm Damage

From Salvation Army – Rome Press Release:  

The Salvation Army – Rome, is currently providing an increased number of meals due to COVID-19 conditions and storm damage in NW Georgia.

3 meals a day are being provided for

24 Shelter Guests at our East 1st Avenue location

13+ Shelter Guests at the new Temporary Emergency Shelter

40 individuals being sheltered in Trion, Ga due to the loss of homes from tornados

Additionally

5-7 dinners a day for children of our community First Responders

40-50 dinners per night for our Community Dinner

25 bags of groceries per day from our food pantry

We are running low on the following items. If you can help, we will gratefully accept your donations at the side door of our office located at 317 East 1st Avenue. Please call when you arrive and we will come out to your vehicle.
