DPH: 1,100 LIVES LOST IN GEORGIA DUE TO CORONAVIRUS

The number of coronavirus cases in Georgia is approaching 26,000, while the death toll has reached 1,100, per the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report by the DPH, there were 25,855 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide as of 5:30 am this morning. Some 1,100 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus.In Floyd County, there were 139 confirmed cases and 11 fatalities. Fulton County led the state in its number of confirmed cases with 2,786. The highest number of fatalities was reported in Dougherty County, which has had 119.
