STATEWIDE SHELTER-IN-PLACE HAS ENDED FOR MOST GEORGIA RESIDENTS

The statewide shelter-in-place order that was in effect for Georgia throughout most of the month of April expired on Thursday night at 11:59 pm. Governor Brian Kemp has ordered the medically fragile and elderly to remain sheltered in place through June 12.

Governor Kemp took to YouTube to thank all Georgians for helping to flatten the curve. However, he asserts, the fight against coronavirus is far from over. Business owners across the state are urged to maintain strict social distancing and sanitization rules in order to keep customers and employees safe.

The public health state of emergency is being formally extended by Governor Kemp through June 12th.
