BOSS: SHELTER IN PLACE KEPT LOCAL HOSPITALS FROM BEING OVERRUN

Did shelter in place orders turn out to be effective in combating coronavirus? Logan Boss, Public Information Officer for the Georgia Department of Public Health’s Northwest Health District, says this area at least managed to keep its healthcare system from being overrun. Hospitals are better prepared to handle whatever ends up happening next.

Health officials continue to speculate on how this pandemic will play out as we head towards the summer, adds Boss.

Coronavirus will remain a threat until there is a vaccine, indicates Boss, who anticipates that this region could experience waves of the virus into 2021 and possibly into 2022.
