CITY COMMISSIONER WENDY DAVIS REMINDS ROMANS TO KEEP SOCIAL DISTANCING AS GEORGIA RE-OPENS

Rome City Commissioner Wendy Davis reminds the public that the statewide shelter in place is still in effect for those most vulnerable to coronavirus, such as the elderly and the medically fragile. And just because the shelter in place has been lifted for others, it does not mean that we can all return to life as we knew it before the pandemic. Davis reminds every Roman to take precautions to protect yourself and others from the virus, like social distancing.

Georgia’s not doing too well with the whole social distancing thing thus far, says Davis, who also encourages the use of masks as we return to interacting with one another.

The Rome City Commission will meet via Zoom on Monday evening. Their virtual gathering is set for 6:30 pm. It will be broadcast live on Facebook.
