ALMOST 34,000 INFECTED, MORE THAN 1,400 HAVE LOST LIVES IN GEORGIA DUE TO CORONAVIRUS

Nearly 34,000 have been infected and more than 1,400 have lost their lives in Georgia due to coronavirus, per the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report by the DPH, there were 33,833 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide as of 5:30 am this morning. There were 1,405 deaths due to coronavirus. In Floyd County, there were 157 confirmed cases and 12 deaths. Fulton County led this state in number of confirmed cases with 3,509 and in number of fatalities with 144.

Beginning today, the Georgia Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 daily status report will be updated three times a day – 9 am, 1 pm and 7 pm. It may be viewed online at www.dph.georgia.gov.
