ROME-FLOYD PARKS AND RECREATION: ALL PARKS ARE OPEN AS OF TODAY!

Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation has announced that all parks are open, as of today. All of the amenities at the parks, including playgrounds, restrooms, basketball and tennis courts, and skate parks will also re-open, according to a parks and rec media release.

Restrooms will be cleaned once every day. Signs will remain in place to urge social distancing and groups of less than 10 people. No scheduled rentals at pavilions will be offered at this time.

The boat ramp re-opens today at Lock and Dam Park, at which fishing is now allowed. Campsites will remain closed.

Parks and Recreation crews will follow guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and the National Recreation and Park Association to help avoid the spread of COVID-19.

The Ridge Ferry Park Farmer’s Market’s ’20 season will kick off on Saturday, June 6th and will run every Saturday and Wednesday until early October.

Opening dates for other facilities will be announced as guidelines allow. The Parker Center and Northside Swim Center will remain closed, and all special populations programming is suspended until further notice.

Parks and rec’s plans could change if guidelines by state and federal agencies change.
