ALMOST 44,000 GEORGIANS INFECTED WITH CORONAVIRUS AS THE DEATH TOLL NEARS 1,900

Almost 44,000 Georgians have been infected with coronavirus as the death toll nears 1,900, per the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report by the DPH, there were 43,983 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across Georgia as of 7 pm on Tuesday night. There were 1,895 fatalities related to the virus. Here in Floyd County, there were 243 confirmed cases and 15 fatalities. The state’s highest number of confirmed cases, 4,230, was reported in Fulton County, which also had the most deaths at 209.
