COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR GREATER ROME RALLYING TO SUPPORT LOCAL NON-PROFITS IMPACTED BY COVID-19

The Community Foundation for Greater Rome has been rallying support for local non-profits whose services are greatly needed by community members that have been impacted by COVID-19.

Ashley Garner, Executive Director, says that the Foundation has raised about $60,000 towards coronavirus relief efforts thus far. Concern over community spread of the virus has led to the cancellation of many fundraising events that are normally held every year by various non-profits. One of the Foundation’s goals is to help make up for that loss of funding.

The Foundation is also in the midst of conversations with non-profits about providing for the changing needs of the community in the weeks and months ahead, attests Garner.
