ROME CITY COMMISSION TO MEET VIRTUALLY TODAY, FLOYD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET IN PERSON ON TUESDAY

The Rome City Commission will meet virtually via Zoom today at 5:30 pm. The meeting will be streamed live on Facebook; look for City of Rome, GA – Government. It will not be preceded by a caucus.

Commissioners are expected to vote on an ordinance amendment to allow for the public consumption of alcohol, temporarily, as a way to assist businesses that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.

Floyd County Commissioners are slated to gather in person on Tuesday at the county’s Administration Building on East 4th Avenue. They will hold a caucus at 5 pm, to be followed by the meeting at 6 pm. An executive session will be held during caucus for discussion of personnel matters and the acquisition of property. Both meetings are open to the public.
