There will be fireworks on the 4th of July in Rome, Georgia this year! There won’t be a Patriotic Party in the Park at Ridge Ferry Park, per usual, but there will be fireworks, asserts Jim Alred, Recreation Services Manager for Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation, who thanks Redmond Regional Medical Center for their sponsorship of the display.
The fireworks display will last about 20 minutes and will be shot from the top of Jackson Hill, adds Alred. It should be visible throughout Rome.
Another local summertime favorite, the Ridge Ferry Park Farmer’s Market, returned this past Saturday. It will be open from 7 am to 11 am each Saturday and Wednesday until October 3.
