CORONAVIRUS DEATH TOLL NEARS 2,500 IN GEORGIA

More than 58,000 have been infected with coronavirus as the death toll nears 2,500 in Georgia, per the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report by the DPH, there were 58,414 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide as of 3 pm on Monday. There were 2,494 deaths due to coronavirus. Here in Floyd County, there were 371 confirmed cases and 15 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 5,157 and fatalities with 290.
