LOCALS SHOULD REMAIN VIGILANT AGAINST THE COMMUNITY SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS

Locals should remain vigilant against community spread of the coronavirus, says Logan Boss, Public Information Officer for the Georgia Department of Public Health’s Northwest Health District. So continue to practice safe social distancing and avoid crowds. Wearing a mask can help but is not a foolproof safeguard from the virus, adds Boss.

Boss also encourages the public to spend more time outdoors (as it is safer), keep washing those hands frequently, and be particularly protective of those at higher risk for the virus like the elderly and people with underlying health conditions.
