More than 60,000 people have been infected with coronavirus in Georgia, per the state Department of Public Health.
According to the latest report by the DPH, there were 60,030 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of 3 pm on Wednesday afternoon. There were 2,575 deaths related to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 380 confirmed cases and 15 fatalities. Gwinnett County had the highest number of confirmed cases in the state with 5,658. Fulton County led the state in fatalities with 299.
