Nearly 61,000 people have been infected with coronavirus in Georgia, per the state Department of Public Health.
According to the latest report by the DPH, there were 60,912 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide as of 3 pm on Thursday afternoon. There were 2,605 deaths related to the coronavirus. In Floyd County, there were 387 confirmed cases and 15 fatalities. Gwinnett County led the state in confirmed cases with 5,753. Fulton County had the most fatalities with 301.
