NEARLY 66,000 PEOPLE IN GEORGIA HAVE BEEN INFECTED WITH COVID-19

Nearly 66,000 people have been infected with coronavirus in Georgia, per the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report by the DPH, there were 65,928 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide as of 3 pm on Monday afternoon. There were 2,648 deaths related to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 426 confirmed cases and 15 fatalities. Gwinnett County reported the highest number of confirmed cases in the Peach State with 6,407. Fulton County had the highest number of fatalities with 304.
