NEARLY 70,000 PEOPLE IN GEORGIA HAVE BEEN INFECTED WITH THE CORONAVIRUS

Nearly 70,000 people in Georgia have been infected with coronavirus, per the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report by the DPH, there were 69,381 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide as of 3 pm on Wednesday. There were 2,698 deaths related to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 457 confirmed cases and 15 fatalities. Gwinnett County had the highest number of confirmed cases in the state with 7,036. Fulton County has had the most fatalities with 302.
