CAVE SPRING’S ANNUAL FOURTH OF JULY PARADE IS ON FOR ’20

Cave Spring’s annual 4th of July parade will proceed as planned this year, but the fireworks display that normally takes place during the weekend before the 4th is on hold for now.

The parade is indeed still on; however, the fireworks have been moved to late August, according to Sandra Lindsey, Director of the Cave Spring Downtown Development Authority.

Anyone can join the parade, so Lindsey urges the public to ‘just show up’ for this Cave Spring tradition that enters its 35th year.

Things are beginning to pick up in Cave Spring, following the shutdown that occurred at the outset of the coronavirus outbreak. This is an encouragement to merchants, enthuses Lindsey.

As of now, Lindsey indicates that the Cave Spring Motorcycle Rally will still be held in late July. A make-up date has been slated for early October, in case that event must be postponed.
