UNITED WAY OF ROME AND FLOYD COUNTY DIRECTOR: LOCAL NON-PROFITS’ NEEDS HAVE INTENSIFIED AMID THE DAYS OF THE CORONAVIRUS

The needs of local human service agencies (and of the people that they serve) have intensified in these days of coronavirus, states Alli Mitchell, Director of the United Way of Rome and Floyd County. Some local non-profits now face significant loss due to the cancellation of popular fundraising events this year. Mitchell hopes that the community will rally to support the organizations that provide those in need with housing, healthcare and other resources.

If you see a need in this community, or want to meet a need, connect with the United Way of Rome and Floyd County. Mitchell says they are listening.

The public may learn about available services and service opportunities from an online Community Resource and Engagement Guide on the United Way of Rome and Floyd County’s website at www.uwrome.org.
